Kinja'd!!!

Going to sell my set of winter tires that I had for my Golf. Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2's that are two years old with less than 7500 miles on them. I was thinking of asking $650. Too high? Never sold anything on CL so any input is appreciated.

And should I include any other pictures besides these?

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

And if any opponaut wants them standard Oppo discount will apply. Thanks!

Location/size/bolt pattern?

Depends on tread depth, curbing damage, cost when new. Seems reasonable though.

Seems reasonable. I just sold a set of Subaru 16" wheels with 6/32" of winter tread left for $348 last night (long story), so assuming the tread will last longer than 1 more winter, you’ll get a few bites and probably end up around $575

Thanks! I guess I should include some sort of tread depth photo.

These pictures are way too high of quality for Craigslist. You need to convert them like 7 times and then edit them in MS Paint with some sort of ritual sacrifice described someplace.

Haha, is there a local VW forum/FB group in the NJ area? That would be far better to reach relevant people. Or any other car that fits that size and bolt pattern.

I typically include a photo at the very minimum. I listed the 6/32" of tread in my ad because I knew they were getting low and I didn’t want to waste my time with people coming to look and then changing their mind because the tread was too low

Make sure you keep an eye on your spam folder after posting.

I missed a ton of messages for items I had on CL because everything was flagged as spam coming from that site. Now I know why sellers I’ve messaged in the past were silent.

$650 is for the tire and wheel combo?

I just did a penny photo. That’ll have to do.

Ugh.

if wheels are included, that seems like a good deal.

i imagine those tires alone cost about 600? plus all of the mounting nonsense you’re probably looking at ~700 to put them on your own wheels.

might want to include the price of the tires new in the listing.

also, those are some serious snows. look at that tread pattern! i’m sure they’ll keep someone else’s vw safe for at least another 2 winters.

Thanks! Will include original price of $990 and make sure I’m specific about complete set. There was some kind of rebate involved but I won’t mention that.

These are great winters. Wish they would’ve fit new car.

oh wow. that IS a good deal then.

generally speaking for snows though, i’d be more interested to know the condition/wear of the sipes than the tread depth.

and you picked the right time to sell these. spent the night in the philly area, and woke up to frost all over my car. i’m sure my summers wouldve been hockey pucks this morning.

They are worth what someone is willing to pay. I picked up a set of Volvo rims with 2 year old Hakis for $290 which imo was pretty cheap.

I’d say so.
